ตั้งแต่ 1 มกราคม 2557 ที่ผ่านมาหน่วยงานกลางที่มีหน้าที่กำกับดูแลการจดทะเบียนโดเมน (ICANN) มีข้อกำหนดใหม่ระบุให้ผู้จดทะเบียนทุกท่านต้องทำการยืนยันว่าชื่อและที่อยู่ที่แจ้งขอจะทะเบียนโดเมนใน Registrant Contact นั้นเป็นชื่อที่อยู่จริง และ Email ที่สามารติดต่อได้จริงครับ
ส่งผลทำให้ผู้จดทะเบียนโดเมนทุกท่านจำเป็นต้องคลิกที่ยืนยันว่า Email ที่ใช้ยื่นจดทะเบียนเป็น Email ที่สามารถติดต่อได้จริง และเป็น Email จริงของผู้จดทะเบียน
การยืนยันเราจะมี Email ส่งให้หลังจากจดทะเบียนโดเมน โดยหัวข้อ Email ระบุว่า : RAA verification mail
ภายใน Email จะมีข้อความดังต่อไปนี้ (ตัวอย่าง)
Your email address, [email protected], has been set as the Registrant contact for 1 domain names registered through HostingLotus. Please click on the following link to verify your email address. By clicking on the following link you are agreeing to Terms of Services.
